Who i am
I am a public school inclusion teacher. |
Teaching is not a profession, it is a calling. I was called to this "profession" at the age of four. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades in South Carolina public schools for the last eleven years. Next year will be my second year as an inclusion teacher. I taught 3rd grade math inclusion and now I have been "promoted" to 5th grade inclusion. I have my masters in special education and am working on my certification in special education. I do not claim to know what everyone should be doing in their inclusion classroom. I know when I began this journey there were not a whole lot of blogs, forums, etc. about teaching inclusion specifically and I thought I would start a blog about my experiences and hopefully others would share their triumphs and 'never agains!' with me!

We love working with small groups! |
Small groups are an important part of my inclusion classroom. Students meet with me or the special education teacher in small groups as often as possible.
